Message of the Vice Principal (in-charge of Grade 6-11)

I am pleased to send this message of felicitation to the newly launched web site of Bandaranayake College. This holy premise of Bandaranayake College has been a familiar ground for me since my school days. As being a resident of the neighborhood, I have been very fortunate to experience the enjoyment in the college grounds and be in contact with the secondary community and different spheres of activities. I have been serving nearly 20 years with numerous Principals and excellent academic staff. It is highly praiseworthy to associate students with high intellectual. They are the great assets which I cherish in me and paves the way for success and excellence in my career.
I have been working as the Vice Principal of Grade 6-11 since 1995. During that span of time I was able to promote the G.C.E. O/L results in a unique and net worthy feature from 95& to 99.8%. This achievement was possible due to academic staff, whose skills, expertise and dedication have helped immensely to uplift this high standard of excellence.
Education for all is no longer a luxury, nor a privilege. It is a vital necessity to mould an integrated personality. With this intention in mind, our college seeks new avenues to promote this worthy cause in accordance with the new education reforms.
Let me extend my warmest congratulations to the staff of teachers in this section for their untiring effort for this future investment. I wish to extend my good wishes for all the future endeavors.
